This Paul Skenes 2024 Topps Update Rookie Debut Image Variation was part of the very first group I sent off to SGC. I was honestly nervous because I noticed some scuffing along the edge and figured it might get dinged. Luckily SGC treated the edge as a factory issue, and it came back a clean SGC 9.5.
The Image Variation design is easily one of my favorites from the entire set. I also have the standard base version waiting to be submitted so they can sit together. The centering and corners are sharp, and that Pirates uniform just pops.
Skenes has been everything they hyped him up to be — nasty stuff, big presence, and must-watch baseball every time he toes the rubber. Super excited to have this one locked away in the collection for good.
